Zechariah 4:10 (NLT) begins with the words "Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin........" The verse goes on to speak to the Israelites about Zerubbabel and the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem. I have heard it used also to speak of how we need to not fret over things that seem small and meaningless, as God will often use these to build something big to glorify Him. When I saw Josh learning to mow the lawn, driving in front of his Papa's John Deere 8850 tractor that verse came right to mind. He needs to start at the beginning, but with work, practice and time he will be able to move onto the big tractor. Then Joshua will be in his own glory.
